Goats and Sheep on the Islands
Brought over by early travelers and released to go wild is how hogs, sheep and goats got out to the islands. The goal was to have fresh meat available when they landed after a long voyage. They prospered and soon because "Semi-Natives."
Purebred Mouflon Sheep are considered the most highly prized game mammal on the Island of Hawaii. They live in rough lava flows at high elevation on the slope of Mauna Loa volcanoe. This offers one of the last opportunities to hunt trophy free range mouflon rams on the Big Island. They manage the population very closely and offer a limited number of hunts per year to ensure maximum opportunities for our hunters.
Black Hawaiian Sheep and mouflon hybrid sheep also live in high elevations on the slopes of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa volcanoes in some of the most beautiful upland forests that Hawaii has to offer. Sheep can be hunted with a rifle or archery equipment, using spot and stalk techniques.

Alabama Alaska Arizona Elk Hunts
Alabama currently does not have a huntable wild Elk population although there may be high fence facilities in the state.
Alaska does not have the number of wild elk in the state to represent a free ranging huntable herd.
Arizona has less than 50,000 head of elk providing a verry huntable free ranging herd. Because of the low population due to the minimal amount of Habitat the points required to draw a elk license can be high and their is no voucher sales for the state to shorten up that window of time to obtain a License.

Arkansas California Colorado Elk Hunts
Arkansas like mnay is building a state plant herd and does have minimal hunting available and there may be high fence facilities in the state.
California does have the number of wild elk in the state to represent a free ranging huntable herd. First they are the onlystate with a huntable number of Tule Elk.
They also have some Roosevelt elk in the northern edge of the state.
Colorado on the other hand has a huntable herd of wild elk totaling around 450,000 plus has some high fence elk facilities. More elk are shot in Colorado than most states have as a total elk population.
